On 30 May 1949, the day when this picture was taken, Dominick M. Raineri (left) was employed by PAA as line maintenance mechanic. He is shaking hands in front of the PAA Boeing 377 "Clipper Mayflower" N1031V. The aircraft was delivered to PAA only four weeks earlier, on 28 April 1949. Dominick M. Raineri kept on working for Pan Am and subsequently headed the PAA maintenance station in Frankfurt/Main where he was responsible for the Douglas DC-6, Boeing 727, 737 and Airbus 310 aircraft types.
